4 Of The Best Attractions In The Cotswolds

As a staycation idea, you know you’ll have a wonderful time away on Cotswolds tours this year – but where to go, what to do and what to see?

This stunning part of the Great British countryside has an awful lot to offer, so you’ll find yourself returning again and again – but here are just a couple of our very favourite sights to see on holiday in the Cotswolds. Enjoy!

Blenheim Palace

This huge country house is a World Heritage Site, with more than 300 years of history behind it. It’s one of the biggest houses to be found in England, built between 1705 and 1722 and named for the Battle of Blenheim, which took place in 1704. All sorts of events are put on throughout the year – so plan your visit accordingly.

Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens

This wildlife park first opened back in 1970 and has since grown to become of the biggest zoological collections in the UK. It’s divided into four sections across 160 acres of stunning parkland and you can see everything from penguins and zebras to giraffes and red pandas. Fun for all the family!

Thermae Bath Spa

This is the only natural thermal spa to be found in Britain, right in the middle of the wonderful historic city of Bath. The city’s hot springs deliver more than a million litres of water every day – and feed the spa’s four baths, as well as the open-air rooftop pool.

Avon Valley Railway

A range of events and experiences are put on by the Avon Valley Railway each year, for both train enthusiasts and families alike. What about the very popular Teddy Bears’ Picnic, for example, or the 1940s weekend?
